Establishment and Composition of IQAC
Ashoka College of Education is always determined for giving excellence in education and also for holistic development of students. We always strive to do things for the development of the students and teachers.
As the institution believes in Quality in its service, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established on 4th Sept. 2020 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ajaykumar Ingale with the following objectives,
Objectives
To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Role of IQAC:
The Institutional Policies with Regard to Quality Assurance are as follows.
Ensure, sustain and enhance the quality of teaching, learning, evaluation and infrastructure
Imparting quality education to the masses from the society catering to their diverse needs and fostering global competence among them.
ICT enabled teaching learning
Promotes research culture in students and Staff.
Faculty empowerment through workshops/seminars/conferences
Promoting professional development of the staff
Quality feedback mechanism
Performance appraisal mechanism is followed meticulously.
Contribution of IQAC in Quality Assurance Processes:
IQAC has suggested conducting seminars/workshops/conferences.
During last five Feedback forms for evaluation of teachers by students are developed. Feedback forms stakeholders are sought on teachers, curriculum and campus.
Department wise examination results are analysed and reports are communicated to the principal.
Recommended for procurement of ICT infrastructure and impart training.
Motivate faculty to adopt innovative teaching learning methods.
Encourage faculty to conduct tours, excursions, field visits, surveys.
Motivate faculty to establish collaboration, linkages and MOUs.
TEACHING AND LEARNING POLICY
The institution nurtures critical thinking, creativity and scientific temper among the students to transform them into life-long learners and innovators. To nurture critical thinking, creativity and scientific temper among the students initiative taken by college:
Flipped Classroom Methodology :
The college concentrates on making students original thinkers.
A flipped classroom reverses traditional teaching methodology, giving students access to teaching material at home, while class time is used to assimilate this knowledge.
AVISHKAR Participation & Research Work :
Educators motivate students to participate in AVISHKAR Research Competitions organised by SPPU. College arranges competitions like Research paper presentation to inculcate research culture amongst students, encourage original and novel thinking.
Goal Setting Orientation:
Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about the ideal future, and for motivating ourselves to turn our vision of the future into reality. College Provides separate workshop of Goal Orientation.
Constructivism :
It means encouraging students to use active techniques to create more knowledge and then to reflect on and talk about what they are doing and how their understanding is changing.
The College Educators make sure that they understand the students' pre-existing conceptions, and guide the activity to address them and then build on them.
Teaching using ICT Tools :
Educators using ICT equipment like personal computers, laptops, audio-visual (AV) equipment, They teach with the help of Power Point Presentations as well as topic related audio or video sources.
Industrial Visits:
During Industrial or field visit students visit Schools, companies or respective fields and get insight regarding the internal working environment. They get useful information related to the practical aspects of the educational course which cannot be visualized in lectures.
Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities:
Co-curricular activities improve the creative writing, analytical ability, leadership skills and decision making skills among the students.
College Educators motivate students to participate in various activities like youth festivals. The long list of prizes won by our students and other district and state level competitions bears a testimony to it.

To encourage and motivate Students College arranges the annual prize distribution ceremony in which college Celebrate success and hard-work of Students over the years.
